General Class Information

  • Studio Entry & Health Policy

    Everyone entering the studio will have their temperature checked and hands sanitized.

    If your child is ill or away (due to vacation or other reasons), please email the teacher at islanddancehilo@gmail.com so we can suggest appropriate make-up classes.

  • Summer Schedule Flexibility

    During summer only, we offer customized, prepaid schedules to accommodate vacation plans. You will only be charged for the weeks your child attends.

    Drop-in fee: $20/class for visiting dancers.

    Payment: Cash or check only.

  • Class Observation

    Parents are welcome to observe classes. However, please:

    Keep conversations outside to avoid distracting dancers.

    Note that the studio is a phone-free zone to maintain focus on the dancers’ progress.

  • Class Placement

    Returning students will remain in their previous semester’s class unless notified otherwise.

  • Make-Up Classes

    Missed classes may be made up within one month of the absence.

    Make-up classes must be taken during the current semester and can be scheduled in a similar level class or a new style (ask Megan for suggestions).

    Pre-arranged make-up lessons are allowed if you anticipate an absence.
